Thanks very much for your interest in iTalkies. It is with great regret that we are announcing that as of Dec 31st iTalkies will stop it online DVD rental service. We have decided to take this drastic step due to the current economic condition that have led to a scarcity in funding sources. That, coupled with the rising postage cost of mailing DVDs and our inability to meet volume goals have increasingly made our business model unsustainable. We have enjoyed serving you over the years and will hopefully be able to serve the community in some other form in the future. We are currently looking for buyers of our assets.

Further details of the discontinuation timeline is as follows:

As of Dec 31st 2008 we will stop posting any DVDs. Customer that currently have any DVDs checked out will have until Jan 15th 2009 to return any DVDs. Beyond that we will receive DVDs only once a week until Jan 31st. On Jan 31st, we will bill customer based on regular policies (i.e. prorated billing). Any DVDs not returned by Jan 31st will automatically be billed to your account on Feb 28th at $15 + taxes per DVD.
