The vision for i.Talkies can be explained by taking a look at the parts of our company name. The "i" signfies innovation and personalization and hence I as in the pronoun for the first person. Last but not the least, the Internet plays a big part in our vision to innovate. The word "Talkies" originated as the popular term for movies with dialog in the late 1930's and captured the excitement audience all over the world felt after the words "Wait a minute, wait a minute. You ain’t heard nothin’ yet!" were uttered for the first time in a movie. Thus, "Talkies" captures the film industry's long history of thrilling the audience with innovation. Today, in most parts of the world, the use of "talkie" to describe a movie with dialog is historical. Though Bollywood has been an exception to that trend and has embraced the term in its culture; there are many production houses, studios and movie theaters that use the word "talkie". Put together, iTalkies (TM) represents the tradition and thrill of Bollywood juxtaposed with the innovation and breakthrough technology of the current generation.
